The holidays can be the most difficult time of the year to keep your house in top shape for showing. If you keep the following tips in mind, though, your home will continue to be appealing to buyers, while still allowing you to enjoy the season.

• Don’t hide your home’s selling points. When putting up a Christmas tree, moving furniture around, etc, make sure you’re not blocking desirable features such as sliding doors, or windows with great views. Be aware of how the changes you are making potentially impact the flow of traffic through the rooms.
• Don’t overdo it with the decorations. Aim for tasteful and elegant.  This is definitely a time where less is more, and quality trumps quantity.
• Don’t leave the decorations up too long. Give yourselves the week after Christmas and the week after New Year’s, then everything should be packed up.
